Saoji Masala (Savji Masala) is a delectable mix of best quality ingredients without onion and garlic. Peculiar to the community called Halba Koshtis (Weavers), Savji/Saoji Masala is a spicy (pungent) and aromatic spice mix that imparts a uniqe and distinct flavour to the recipes.
Saoji Masala is primarily used in non vegetarian delicacies which are supposed to be extra spicy. You can use Saoji or Savji Masala in preparing Chicken, Mutton and even fish. Having said this as it is a regional flavour one can also prepare practically all vegetarian recipes like stuffed Brinjal (Vangi), Shevbhaji, Beans, Cauliflower (dry/curry), Potatoes (Batata/Alu), Gravy of Shevbhaji and in Misal etc.
